The Nanhua Temple or the Nanhua Monastery ( Chinese  南华寺 , Pinyin Nánhuá sì ) is an important Buddhist temple in the area of ​​the prefecture -level city of Shaoguan in the north of the southern Chinese province of Guangdong, China.

The monastery was founded over 1500 years ago. Huineng , the 6th Patriarch of Zen Buddhism , has run it since 667.

It is a national focus temple of Buddhism in Han Chinese areas .

It has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (5-370) since 2001 .
