Naoise Ó Muirí is an Irish Fine Gael politician and was the 343rd Lord Mayor of Dublin from June 2012 to June 2013 .

Ó Muirí studied at the National University of Ireland, Galway . He works as a freelance engineer and runs his own company.

In 2004 he was first elected to the Dublin City Council for the Fine Gael . In 2009 he was re-elected. In February 2011 he ran in the elections for the 31st Dáil Éireann in the constituency of Dublin North Central , but could not win a seat . As a member of the Dublin City Council , he was elected Lord Mayor of Dublin on June 25, 2012 , replacing Andrew Montague from the Irish Labor Party . He prevailed here with 32 votes against his opponent, the independent Mannix Flynn, who received 6 votes. 11 members of the Dublin City Council abstained.

Ó Muirí is married and has children. He is a member of the Institution of Engineers of Ireland .
