Parade Shapur I.

In Naqsh-e Rajab there are four reliefs from early Sassanid times. It is located about 3 kilometers north of Persepolis in the Iranian province of Fars .

The Sassanid kings Ardaschir I and Shapur I are shown , as well as the Zoroastrian priest Kartir . Two reliefs come from Shapur and one each from Ardaschir and Kartir. The relief of Ardaschir shows him and the deity Ahura Mazda , who gives him the ring of power. Shapur is shown riding and also receives the ring of power from the riding Ahura Mazda, this relief is almost identical to that of Ardashir in Naqsh-e Rostam . The second shows him on horseback, followed by nine nobles from his empire, including his son Hormizd I.
