Narciso López (born August 18, 1928 in Chapulimita , Jalisco , † January 1988 in Guadalajara , Jalisco), also known by the nickname El Chicho , was a Mexican football player who acted in defense . As an active professional player , he was exclusively under contract with clubs in his adopted country of Guadalajara.

biography

"El Chicho" López began his professional career in 1948 with CD Oro , for which he played for almost a decade before moving to city rivals CD Guadalajara , with whom he won the championship in the seasons 1958/59 and 1959/60. After these successes he switched to the “Neighbors” CD Nacional , where he let his active career end in 1963.

Between his international debut on December 27, 1953 against Haiti (4-0) and his last game on March 17, 1956 against Chile (2-1), López also made ten appearances for the Mexican national team . The highlight of his international career was participation in the 1954 World Cup , where he played both games against Brazil (0: 5) and France (2: 3).
