Narelle S. Szuveges (* 1978 ) is an Australian chess player .

Life

In 2007 Narelle Szuveges was a member of the board of the Victoria Chess Federation for one year . She is president of the Noble Park Chess Club . Noble Park is located in the state of Victoria and is part of the Greater Dandenong City administrative region . She also plays bridge and is a member of the Essendon Bridge Club .

Her brother Grant, two years older than him, has held the title of FIDE Master since 2000 .

successes

In 1993 she was split first at the Australian Junior Championship (female). With the Australian women's national team, she took part in the 1998 Chess Olympiad in Elista on the first reserve board with a result of 3 points from 7 games. She won the Australian women's individual championship in Melbourne in 2002. At the zone tournament in Auckland in February 2005, in which she took third place in the women's ranking, she received the title of International Women's Champion (WIM). In 2007 she won the Australian Myer Tan Women's Grand Prix. Szuveges' Elo rating is 1722 (as of July 2019). In April 2001 she had her highest Elo rating of 2078, at the time she was seventh on the Australian Elo ranking for women.
