The Narita-Yume-Bokujo gauge line or Makiba line ( Japanese まきば線 , Makiba-sen ) is approximately 0,5 km long museum - narrow-gauge railway with a track width of 2 feet (610 mm) close to the Japanese city Narita in the Prefecture Chiba . The train is operated several days a year by the Rasuchijin Railway Association ( 羅 須 地 人 鉄 道 協会 , Rasuchijin-tetsudō-kyōkai ).

history

The miniature railway is located on the site of Narita Dream Dairy Farm ( 成田ゆめ牧場 , Narita Yume Bokujo , literally Narita Dream Dairy Farm) an agro-tourism farm experience in Narita close to Tokyo airport. Milk has been produced there in front of customers and visitors on an area of ​​approx. 30 hectares of farmland since 1887, and homemade ice cream and yoghurt have been sold. Visitors can see the procedures and care that goes into making dairy products there.
