The Narita-Yume-Bokujo gauge line or Makiba line ( Japanese まきば線 , Makiba-sen ) is approximately 0,5 km long museum - narrow-gauge railway with a track width of 2 feet (610 mm) close to the Japanese city Narita in the Prefecture Chiba . The train is operated several days a year by the Rasuchijin Railway Association ( 羅 須 地 人 鉄 道 協会 , Rasuchijin-tetsudō-kyōkai ).
history
The miniature railway is located on the site of Narita Dream Dairy Farm ( 成田ゆめ牧場 , Narita Yume Bokujo , literally Narita Dream Dairy Farm) an agro-tourism farm experience in Narita close to Tokyo airport. Milk has been produced there in front of customers and visitors on an area of approx. 30 hectares of farmland since 1887, and homemade ice cream and yoghurt have been sold. Visitors can see the procedures and care that goes into making dairy products there.
