Wet (desert)

The deserted village wet is located in the district of the hamlet Untergneus in the municipality Gneus in Saale-Holzland in Thuringia .

The Nassen desert is located southeast of the Untergneus district, east of the state road .

history

The medieval desert was examined in 1952 on four different test digs. Mainly fire debris and building remains were found. The other finds consisted of ceramics and stove tiles . It is believed that the desert consisted of a chapel or church. The exposed foundation areas and a stone basin are protected with a log cabin . However, stove tiles also suggest homes.
