Natalia Rybczynski (* 1971 ) is a Canadian palaeontologist and university professor.

Live and act

She received a Bachelor of Science degree from Carleton University in 1994 and a Master of Science degree from the University of Toronto in 1996 . Natalia Rybczynski works for the Canadian Museum of Nature and is a professor at Carleton University in Ottawa . She obtained her doctorate in 2003 from Duke University with a thesis on Evolution of Wood-cutting in Castorids . Her focus is on evolutionary functional morphology, partly in the polar climate. It became known through the discovery of an arctic camel, which represents a missing link between the original form and the modern camel. Rybczynski's team also discovered the sea lion species Puijila darwini on Devon Island in the Canadian Arctic in 2007 . Rybczynski also contributed to investigations into the tooth structure and the chewing behavior of the early mammalian species Suminia getmanovi .
