Natalie Clein

Natalie Clein (born March 25, 1977 in Poole ) is a British cellist .

Natalie Clein first attracted international attention when she won the "BBC Young Musician of the Year" competition in 1994 at the age of 16 and won the Eurovision competition for young musicians in Warsaw.

The young cellist has since performed a. a. with the London Philharmonic Orchestra under Gennadi Roschdestwenski , the English Chamber Orchestra , the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra , Bournemouth Symphony, Philharmonia Orchestra ( Sir Neville Marriner , Paul Daniel), Royal Scottish National Orchestra (Peter Oundjian), Hallé Orchestra , National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain under Roger Norrington , California Symphony Orchestra, the London Mozart Players , BBC Symphony , BBC Scottish Symphony and the Royal Philharmonic .

She regularly takes part in various chamber music festivals around the world, such as in Cheltenham, London, Bath, Oxford, Prussia Cove, Perth (Western Australia), Vancouver, Divonne (France), Osnabrück, Delft and Verbier. In addition to her regular chamber music partners Julius Drake , Paul Lewis , Itamar Golan and Charles Owen , she performed a. a. together with Martha Argerich , Melvyn Tan , Imogen Cooper , Stephen Kovacevich , Steven Isserlis , the Jerusalem String Quartet and the Takacs Quartet.
