Anna Katharina Natalie Eschborn , stage name Frassini , married Natalie Baronin von Grünhof ( November 23, 1836 in Amorbach - April 20, 1905 in Berlin ) was a German theater actress and opera singer ( soprano ).

Life

Eschborn was the daughter of Kapellmeister Joseph Eschborn and Nina Eschborn-Cizewski , who also trained her for the stage. She also took lessons from Conzi in Florence and Marco Bordogni in Paris. Her short but successful stage career began in 1849 at the Stadttheater Köln , where she made her debut as a “night walker”. Further stations were Stuttgart, the Ferdinando Theater in Florence and finally the Hoftheater Coburg - Gotha (1858 to 1860).

In 1857, at the age of 21, she translated the Italian libretto for the opera La traviata by Giuseppe Verdi into German and sang the role of the main character Violetta at the German premiere on November 10, 1857 in Hamburg.

The artist, an excellent coloratura singer , also went on guest tours and sang in Munich, Hamburg, Berlin, Frankfurt, as well as in Pisa, Naples and Milan. Her repertoire included a. "Lucie", "Raisin", "Susanne", "Norma", "Traviata" and "Leonore". After retiring from the stage, she married Duke Ernst Alexander Konstantin von Württemberg (1807–1868) in 1860 and was raised to the nobility as Baroness von Grünhof. Her residence was initially in Coburg, and most recently in Berlin.
