AB Klaipėdos kartonas is a paper manufacturer in the Lithuanian port city of Klaipėda . The company belongs to the paper manufacturer AB Grigiškės .
history
From 1905 the factory belonged to the German group Aschaffenburger Zellstoffwerke AG in Bavaria . In 1919 it was reorganized into a stock company for pulp and paper mills in Memel . In 1945 the company was nationalized and now belongs to Soviet Lithuania as Klaipėdos celiuliozės ir kartono gamykla . In 1994 the combine was privatized and since then Akcinė bendrovė is "Klaipėdos kartonas". The company belonged to the Lithuanian companies UAB "Ega" and Vakarų Lietuvos pramonės ir finansų korporacija . In 2010 AB “Grigiškės” bought the shares of AB “Klaipėdos kartonas”. In 2011 the company achieved sales of 143.356 million litas (41.51 million euros ). In 2014 there were 193 employees.
