Vakarų Lietuvos pramonės ir finansų korporacija AG (AB "Vakarų Lietuvos pramonės ir finansų korporacija", German: West Lithuanian Corporation for Industry and Finance ) is a group of companies whose companies are mainly active in western Lithuania .

The companies brought together under the corporate umbrella cover a broad spectrum, they manufacture cardboard boxes and cranes, fill gas bottles and operate hotels and health centers.

The founder and long-term president was the entrepreneur and industrialist Antanas Bosas , who is now a member of the Lithuanian workers' party Darbo Partija in the Lithuanian parliament Seimas .

Corporate history

In 1989 Antanas Bosas and his business partners founded the L-713 cooperative. It was one of the first cooperatives in the Klaipėda district after the entrepreneurial cooperative activity was officially allowed in the former Soviet Union and the legal framework was enshrined in law.

In 1992 the AB Prekybos namai "Vita" (German trading house "Vita" AG ) was entered in the company register. The investment companies Invita and Pasoga were later founded and actively participated in the privatization of state-owned enterprises and real estate in Lithuania.

In 1993 newly founded and privatized state-owned companies were united under the umbrella of a holding company: The UAB concern "Vakarų Lietuvos pramonės ir finansų korporacija" officially began its activity. The aim was the joint administration and coordinated management of a group of companies. In 1993 VLPFK managed and controlled a total of 16 different companies, in 1994 it had 32.

During the first ten years of its existence, the group made 7.5 billion. Lita's turnover, paid over 1 billion. Litas taxes and made investments of about LTL 500 million.

2000–2003 VLPFK achieved an annual turnover of 1 billion. LTL.

In 2003 the management of the VLPFK company was reorganized. In the past, four members ran together with the board of directors. After the reorganization, all companies are now directly managed according to four areas of activity: construction, energy, wood industry, transport.
