Natalka Wolodymyriwna Sniadanko ( Ukrainian Наталка Володимирівна Сняданко ; born May 20, 1973 in Lemberg ) is a Ukrainian writer , journalist and translator . She studied at the Iwan Franko University in Lemberg and Freiburg im Breisgau . Her debut novel Collection of Passions ( Колекція пристрастей ) was published in 2001. She has translated from German (including Max Goldt and Günter Grass ) and Polish (including Zbigniew Herbert , Czesław Miłosz ) into Ukrainian . As a journalist, she has published articles in the Süddeutsche Zeitung, among others . Natalka Sniadanko lives in Lviv.
