Natasha is a smaller impact crater on the northwestern front of the moon , on the southwestern edge of the Mare Imbrium . Natasha is east of Brayley Crater and south of Euler .
Both Natasha and some small and very small craters and surface structures in the vicinity owe their name designation to their appearance on sheet 39C2 / S1 (Rima Euler) of NASA's Topophotomap map series, which was taken over by the IAU in 1976 . These designations include the Catena Pierre , the Rima Wan-Yu northwest of Natasha , and the following secondary craters:
Surname | position | diameter | link |
---|---|---|---|
Akis | 20 ° N , 31.76 ° W | 2 km | [1] |
Ango | 20.46 ° N , 32.34 ° W | 870 m | [2] |
Jehan | 20.69 ° N , 31.88 ° W | 5 km | [3] |
pink | 20.29 ° N , 32.31 ° W | 820 m | [4] |
The names of these craters (as well as Wan-Yu and Pierre ) appear in a list of male and female first names intended as crater names in the Proceedings of the 16th General Assembly of the IAU (Grenoble 1976).
Natasha previously served as Euler P designated. 1991 Vinogradov (after the Russian mathematician Ivan Matwejewitsch Vinogradow ) was given as a further name . This competing name was repealed in 2000. The crater Jehan was formerly known as Euler K .
