National Bank Trust

National Bank Trust ( Russian Национальный банк “ТРАСТ” ) is a large Russian commercial bank .

On December 22, 2014, the Russian central bank ( Bank Rossii ) announced that the bank would soon receive 30 billion rubles (433 million euros on that day) to support it. The 'Deposit Protection Agency' should temporarily take over the supervision of the ailing bank. These measures should "enable Trust to continue payment transactions seamlessly". In the week before, the ruble rate had collapsed (see Russian ruble # Global financial crisis 2007/2008 ).

On December 26, 2014, it was announced that the package would have to be increased 3.3 times (99 billion rubles). In addition, Otkritie FC Bank (formerly NOMOS-Bank) is to take over the Trust Bank.
