The National Protected Area Authority (NPPA; in German about National Authority for Nature Reserves ) is the authority for the administration of nature reserves in Sierra Leone, West Africa .

It was established on November 5, 2014 on the basis of The National Protected Area Authority and Conservation Trust Fund Act of 2012.

The NPAA is independent, but works closely with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food Security , which also designates protected areas on the basis of the Wild Life Conservation Act of 1972.
