Nature reserves in Sierra Leone
State nature reserves in Sierra Leone are administered by the National Protected Area Authority (NPAA) and established by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food Security (MAFFS). However, many of the declared protected areas are actually managed locally and financed by international development aid funds and organizations such as BirdLife International . The national supporter is the Conservation Society of Sierra Leone .
