The National Stadium is a cricket stadium in Karachi , Pakistan .
Capacity & Infrastructure
The stadium has a capacity of 34,228 seats and is equipped with a floodlight system. The two wicket ends are the Pavilion End and the University End.
International cricket
The first test match at this stadium took place between Pakistan and India in February 1955 . The first One-Day International in November 1980 between Pakistan and the West Indies . At the Cricket World Cup 1987 three preliminary round matches were played in the stadium, at the Cricket World Cup 1996 two preliminary round matches and a quarter-finals were played here. In addition, the final of the 2018 Pakistan Super League was played in the stadium.
