The National University of Laos ( Lao ມະ ຫາ ວິ ທະ ຍາ ໄລ ແຫ່ງ ຊາດ , Maha Vithanyalai Aehngsad ; Engl. National University of Laos ) is a university based in the Laotian capital Vientiane . Teaching institutes and other institutions are also located in other cities in the country, e.g. B. in Luang Prabang . There is a fee to visit the university. When it was founded in 1996, its faculties emerged from existing universities and were only combined in the new university. In the 2004/05 academic year the university had 22,624 students. She is a member of the Greater Mekong Subregion Academic and Research Network and the ASEAN University Network .
