Renacimiento FC is a football club from Malabo , the capital of Equatorial Guinea . The name Renacimiento means rebirth in Spanish .

history

The young club, which was only founded in 2000 as a spin-off from Cafe Bank Sportif , has experienced a meteoric rise in recent years under club president Melchor Esono Edjó , between 2004 and 2007 it won four championships in a row, leaving the much better-known traditional teams such as record champions CD Elá Nguema or Atlético Malabo , Akonangui FC and Deportivo Mongomo behind them.
