Greater Mekong Subregion Academic and Research Network

The Greater Mekong Sub-region Academic and Research Network (German as: higher education and research network of the expanded Mekong subregion ), abbreviation GMSARN is a network of universities and research institutions in the so-called Mekong subregion to the river Mekong in Asia . The network was formally founded on January 26, 2001. Today (December 2008) the eleven partner organizations come from the six countries bordering the Mekong.
