Swiss National Democratic Federation

The National Democratic Swiss Confederation (NS) was a Swiss party that is part of the front movement .

In 1935 René Sonderegger founded the National Democratic Swiss Confederation. Sonderegger participated unsuccessfully in the Zurich parliamentary elections.

By August 1940, Sonderegger became more and more radical, and with him the NS. At the beginning of 1943 there was a dispute between Sonderegger and Werner Schmid. In March 1943 the NS was dissolved after the radical theses of Sonderegger were published.

Political orientation

At the beginning of its activities, the NS advocated Swiss democracy and rejected the racial theory . However, he advocated a reorganization of Europe under the leadership of Germany. Over time, however, the attitude became more radical, and NS glorified Adolf Hitler and National Socialism .
