The National Sports Stadium is a multi-purpose sports arena in Ulaanbaatar , the capital of Mongolia .

It is currently mainly used for soccer matches and has space for 20,000 spectators. Although as a multi-purpose facility for football, festivals, etc. a. built, the only compulsory event from July 11th to 13th is Naadam to commemorate independence in 1921.

The stadium was built by the Soviet Union in 1958 . Since then there have been no changes or renovations. A little painting is only done once a year.

The stadium is 51% privately owned and 49% owned by the government. The entire area covers 27 hectares, of which the stadium itself is 6 hectares.
