The Revue Biblique is an academic journal published by the École biblique et archéologique française de Jérusalem .

The École biblique was founded by French Dominicans in Jerusalem in 1890 ; the magazine was first published in Jerusalem in 1892 by Pierre Batiffol and Marie-Joseph Lagrange .

The Revue Biblique deals with research on the Bible, but also related sciences, such as B. History and languages ​​of the ancient Middle East in general, apocryphal literature, rabbinical literature and patristicism . A special area is archeology in Palestine and neighboring countries. Particular attention is given to the excavations carried out by the École Biblique (and other institutions).
