The National Park Carrasco (Parque Nacional Carrasco) is a national park founded in 1991 in Bolivia in the province of Chapare . It borders on the Amboró National Park to the east . Its area is 6226 km². The area of the national park is located 280 to 4717 meters above sea level . The enormous difference in altitude gives the national park a large number of different ecosystems.
climate
The climate is cold to temperate in the higher elevations of the south to warm in the lower elevations of the north. The amount of precipitation is 5000 millimeters.
fauna
382 animal species have been registered in the park, 51 of which are higher mammals. Among the more important animals include Jaguar , mountain cat , spectacled , taruca ( Hippocamelus antisiensis ) and numerous bird species.
flora
There are probably 3,000 to 5,000 plant species in the Carrasco National Park. 600 species have been found so far, including Polylepis rugulosa , Polylepis racemosa , Weinmannia boliviana .
