The National Party of Balochistan (Mengal) or Balochian National Party ( Urdu بلوچستان نيشنل پارٹی Balōčistān nīšonal pārṭī , abbreviation BNP ) is a Baloch party in Pakistan .

The National Party was founded by Ataullah Mengal in 1996 and is led by him and Akhtar Mengal . It supports the independence of Balochistan , most of which is in Pakistan. In the struggle for more autonomy and provincial rights, it only uses peaceful and democratic means.

Alongside the National Party, it is one of the two most important parties that campaigned for Balochistan's self-determination and is also represented in the Balochistan Provincial Assembly; Since the parliamentary elections in 2008 , the National Party of Balochistan has been the fourth largest party in the provincial assembly with 7 members. It is also represented by one member in the National Assembly and three in the Senate .

In the Balochian coalition government, which is led by the Pakistani People's Party , the National Party of Balochistan is a coalition partner together with the Awami National Party.
