The natural monument Schwalgloch am Romberg with a size of 0.13 ha is located east of Brilon . The area was designated as a natural monument (ND) by the Hochsauerlandkreis in 2008 with the landscape plan of the Brilon plateau . The natural monument is surrounded by the nature reserve Briloner Kalkplateau and edge heights . A little to the north or northwest is the Romberg nature reserve and a little south of the Drei Eichen nature reserve .

The ND Schwagloch am Romberg is one of the seven natural monuments in the landscape plan of the Brilon plateau which were established as karst phenomena. There are four swallow holes and three sinkholes .

In the Schwagloch am Romberg a watercourse only 280 m long disappears, which comes from the southwest. The Schwalgloch forms a hollow shape about 5 m in size. Because of the surrounding spruce trees, the Schwalgloch is not clearly visible.
