View from the Pittental to the fall of the Turks

The Seebenstein Nature Park is located in south-eastern Lower Austria , on the western edge of the Bucklige Welt , which partly slopes down into the Pittental with limestone cliffs. One of these striking breaks, the so-called Turks Fall (see picture), is also the namesake of the nature park. The name itself comes from the time of the Turkish Wars, when, according to legend, the advancing Ottomans were lured into a trap at that point and, being pursued by locals, fell fatally.
