Natural phenomena

Natural phenomena (in short: NPh ) is the interdisciplinary scientific internet in grades 5 and 6 in Baden-Wuerttemberg schools .

Objectives of the subject

The subject of natural phenomena builds on the subject of people, nature and culture in elementary school. The students increasingly gain insights into scientific and technical ways of thinking and working. The knowledge and skills acquired are further developed in the subjects of physics , chemistry , biology , geography and natural science and technology (NwT).

subjects

The following four topics are mentioned in the educational standards:

  1. Water , e.g. B. buoyancy, physical states, solution behavior, separation of mixtures, microscopy
  2. Magnetism and electricity , e.g. B. Properties of magnetic materials, circuit, conductivity
  3. Air and fire , e.g. B. Pressure, temperature, respiratory rate and volume, combustion process, heating / burning / melting
  4. Technology , e.g. B. Manufacture of a technical object

implementation

In many schools, the two-year lessons are divided into four semesters, in which each topic is taught by a different teacher. How the content is implemented at a particular school is laid down in the school curriculum, which is created individually by each school . The curricula are based on the educational standards of the subject.
