The Nausea Knob (English for nausea knob ) is a prominent protrusion of jumbled lava formations on the Antarctic Ross Island . It rises at an altitude of 3,633 m on the northwest slope of the active summit crater of Mount Erebus .
In the 1970s there was a camp site for scientists working on Mount Erebus. It is named after the fact that many of these scientists suffered from nausea due to exposure to high altitude.
