Nautel Ltd. is a Canadian electronics company based in Hackett's Cove , Nova Scotia , that manufactures transmitters and amplifiers for transmission systems. The company sells its transmitters worldwide (used in 177 countries). The company has offices in various countries and a. in the USA , Europe , Mexico , Africa , South America and Asia .

history

Nautel Ltd. was founded in 1969 in Hackett's Cove. The initial business purpose included the construction and maintenance of electrical radio-controlled lighting systems for the Canadian government. In order to be able to market the products better in the USA, a subsidiary was opened in Bangor , Maine in the USA in 1974 . 1970 Nautel delivered the first radio beacon system to the Canadian government. This worked at a frequency between 190 and 535 kHz and served as a navigation aid for aviation and seafaring. 1982–1985 the first transmitters for radio stations were presented. The first 50 kW transmitter was purchased by CBA (AM) in Moncton and was in service until April 8, 2008.

research

Nautel is working on researching new plasma engines for space vehicles, in cooperation with the American rocket company AD-Astra. With this technology, travel times to other planets can be reduced considerably.
