Nautilus Minerals Inc. is a Canadian company headquartered in Vancouver . The company is listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange on the S & P / TSX 60 stock index .

The company's shareholders include the Omani MB Holding (27%) and Metalloinvest from Russia (15%). Nautilus Minerals is engaged in the exploration of the seabed for the mining of massive sulphide ores ( English Seafloor Massive Sulphides , SMS) . The company's primary focus is the Solwara 1 project , located in the territorial waters of Papua New Guinea off the coasts of the Papua New Guinea islands of New Britain and New Ireland . From autumn 2011, Nautilus Minerals wants to start mining seabed massive sulphides here at a depth of 1700 m below sea ​​level .
