Navayana (Publisher)

Navayana ( Sanskrit for new vehicle ) is a publishing house founded in 2003 by the Dalit activist Ravikumar and the journalist S. Anand and based in New Delhi .

The publisher was initially founded in 2003 with headquarters in Chennai and registered in Puducherry . After S. Anand was awarded the International Young Publisher of the Year award for its foundation in 2007 , the publishing house was relocated to New Delhi. A special feature of the publishing house is that it campaigns for the concerns of the Dalit, overcoming the caste system and social improvements with its publications and only publishes books that are related to this topic.
