As a near-water drinks refers to a group of beverage products , water-based, which are lightly flavored with fruit or herbal supplements.

Volvic was one of the first companies to launch this drink on the French market in 1989, and three years later it was launched in Germany.

While the manufacturers often advertise with additional health benefits, criticize consumer advocates such.
