Additional entry
A secondary entry is any additional entry in a library catalog that is made in addition to the main entry . Added entries had in the days of the card catalog to make sense, a work not only on a single catalog card but on several catalog cards found. The duplicate catalog cards have been sorted into different places in the alphabetical catalog . For example, a certain work could be found not only under its title, but also under the name of an author.
According to the RAK used in the German-speaking area, a secondary entry consists just like the main entry of the uniform recording, but also has a new header. Catalog cards with additional entries are sorted according to their new head.
