Negative Trip is an electronica formation from the suburbs of Zurich .
Band history
Negative Trip was founded in Zurich in 2000 as an experimental electronics project. With their debut album "EU" they released a CD on which mostly repetitive beats and gloomy carpets of sound were used.
In 2005 her second album "Parasite Psychotic" was released. The sound concept has been significantly refined on this release. Heavy drum computer sounds alternate with broken beats, interspersed with deep bass and abysmal samples, which give the whole sound a deep, meanwhile depressive and terrifying atmosphere. It is noticeable that more guitars and synthesizers were used on this album.
Thanks to the independent character of this work, "Parasite Psychotic" received more attention than its predecessor "EU". It received various positive reviews from underground scene magazines such as Medienkonverter , Uselinks or the Ox-Fanzine .
