The Nella Rock is a reef rock off the Mawson Coast of the East Antarctic Mac Robertson Land . At a water depth of 4.5 m, it is 430 m off the eastern branch of the largest of the Sawert Rocks in the entrance to Holme Bay .
The namesake of the name made by the Antarctic Names Committee of Australia is the research ship MV Nella Dan , which ran aground on this rock on March 4, 1969 while sailing from Mawson Station to Melbourne .
