Nello Correale

Nello Correale (actually Aniello Correale , * 1955 in Mercato San Severino ) is an Italian film director and screenwriter .

Life

Correale graduated from the University of Milan with a degree in philosophy , after which he took courses in directing at the Scuola di Cinema and the Piccolo Teatro in the city. 1981 to 1989 he worked as a lecturer in philosophy and screenwriting. Documentary work and assistance with z. B. Maurizio Nichetti followed. In 1997 he directed; his debut work Fairway - Un strada lunga un sogno , however, was only shown two years later and for a short time in the cinemas. His second film is about Sicilians who wanted to emigrate at the beginning of the 20th century and who ended up in Tuscany instead of the USA . In 2002 he shot his last film to date.

Correale also shot documentaries and documentary productions that prefer to focus on Sicilian topics.
