Nelson Ndelimono Napeje "Dicky" Akwenye (born March 2, 1982 in South West Africa ) is a former Namibian soccer player . He played in midfield and forward .

Akwenye and his brother Tobias (Thobias) have been facing allegations by the state of fraud in the millions since the beginning of 2020 .

Career

Akwenye was a Namibian national player from 2001 to 2008 .

He played with the Tigers in his youth and most of his professional time . For two seasons (2007-2009) the Ramblers was under contract. In 2004 Akwenya played for Belvert FC ([ sic !]; Presumably SSVg Velbert is meant) in the league , but was not signed for formal reasons.

In 2011 Akwenye wanted to take over the Tigers as club owners.

family

Akwenye comes from a family of athletes. His father Ferdinand (1942-2006) was a professional footballer, his grandfather Tobias founder of Blue Waters FC in Walvis Bay . His brother Tobias was an athlete , the other brother Harold was also a footballer.

In 2014 Akwenye married NBC TV announcer Ilke "Cutie" Platt, with whom he has two children. She split three years later and accused Akwenye of domestic violence . There were public and judicial disputes in which it was about millions and a financial bankruptcy Akwenyes.
