The Ramblers played in the Namibia Premier League until the 2013/14 season and won the championship in 1992 and became cup winners in 2005 . For the 2014/15 season, the Ramblers gave up their starting place in the Premier League due to financial problems.

The team is sponsored by Namibia Dairies and is therefore called Oshikandela Ramblers in the 2009/2010 season . Oshikandela is one of the company's products.

In September 2009, the German "world goalkeeper" Lutz Pfannenstiel became sports director and goalkeeping coach for the Ramblers; at the same time he took over the post of goalkeeping coach of the Namibian national team . Pfannenstiel gave up the office of goalkeeping coach at the Ramblers after one season.

On August 15, 2011 it was announced that the Ramblers' Premier League team rights were to be sold because the club could no longer raise the approximately N $ 70,000 per month for running costs for the team. A buyer has not been found so far, so the team should start the new season without a budget. On September 1, 2014, the University of Namibia took over the starting place in the Namibia Premier League from the Ramblers, so that the club will compete in the Namibia First Division from December 2014 .
