The Neolithic sanctuary of Parța ( Romanian Sanctuarul Neolitic de la Parța ), is a building from the middle Neolithic that was found during archaeological excavations near Parța in Timiș County , Romania and the fertility cult around 4,000 BC. At the time of the Vinča culture .

The Neolithic sanctuary of Parța consists of a podium with an idol and represents a completely restored sanctuary . The sanctuary dates back to around 4,000 BC. To date and to be assigned to the Vinča culture .

The sanctuary of Parța is rectangular, 11.5 meters long and 6 meters wide and consists of two parts, the altar chamber and the sacrificial site . On the altar there are two statues , a female deity and a bull as a symbol of fertility . The temple also served as a calendar . Exactly at the time of the equinox , the light fell through a crack and illuminated the altar. Pottery vessels for offerings were also found in the chancel.

The Parța sanctuary is exhibited in Timisoara in the Banat National Museum , Department of History and Archeology . It is the most valuable exhibit in the entire department. The sanctuary of Parța owes its name to the place where it was found.
