Nepanagar is a city in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh .
The city is part of the Burhanpur District . Nepanagar has the status of a Municipal Council . The city is divided into 24 wards . On the cut-off date of the 2011 census, it had 29,682 inhabitants, of which 15,165 were men and 14,517 were women. Hindus make up the majority of the city's population with a share of over 80%.
