Wilhelm "Willi" Wagner (born October 3, 1941 in Neustadt an der Weinstrasse ) is a former German obstacle runner (3000 m).

Life

After Wagner won the bronze medal at the German Athletics Championships in Stuttgart in 1967 in the 3000 m obstacle course, he improved by one place at the German Championships in Berlin in 1968 . As the German runner-up to the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City , he was eliminated in the preliminary stages. At the German Athletics Championships in Düsseldorf in 1969 he won his specialty for the first time.

1971 in Stuttgart he reached the runner-up again and took part in the European Athletics Championships . As German champion in 1972 , he took part in the Summer Olympics in Munich in the same year , but was eliminated in the preliminary stages. In the two following years Wagner won the bronze medal at the German championships.
