The spotted Tipula paludosa ( Nephrotoma appendiculata ) is a mosquito of the genus crows gnats ( Nephrotoma ) in the order of the Diptera (Diptera). It can be found from April to July at the edges of the forest, in clearings or in the meadow biotope.

The species becomes between 13 and 15 mm long. There is a dark horseshoe-shaped drawing on the side of the thorax .
