Nergis Usta

Nergis Usta (born May 23, 1977 ) is a Turkish film director living in Berlin.

Usta has been making short films since 2001, sometimes based on her own scripts. In addition, she is still involved in other well-known film productions by other directors. In 2003, for example, she was the second assistant director for Fatih Akın's award-winning Gegen die Wand . After receiving the “Valuable Rating” for her own short film for 13 years (2006) from the Wiesbaden film evaluation office , Usta shot her first feature film: Katrin's Cihad (2007) based on a script by Kenan Gül , was made for German television. The film was later released on DVD . The daughter of Turkish parents also works as a producer.
