İsmail Deniz

İsmail Deniz (* 1979 in Dinslaken ) is a theater and film actor. The son of Turkish parents completed his acting studies from 2002 to 2006 at the Otto Falckenberg School in Munich. During his studies and between theater engagements, Ismail Deniz took part in numerous film and television productions such as "Kammerflimmern", "Unter Verdacht", "Ironman - From Junkie to Top Athlete", "Army of Silence" and "Homies".

Then he was engaged at the Vienna Volkstheater, where he played in "The Robbers" and "Macbeth" under the direction of Nuran David Çalış . Other projects followed, including at the Munich Kammerspiele, the Schauspielhaus Essen, Theater Bonn, Schauspielhaus Bochum, and Theater Koblenz.

In Berlin, Ismail Deniz played at the Hebbel Theater and at the newly founded Ballhaus Naunynstrasse. Again under Neco Çelik, he played the young Muslim in Zaimoglus / Senkel's Lessing adaptation of Nathan Messias at Ballhaus Naunynstraße in 2009 .

He toured across Europe with his productions. Ismail Deniz worked as an actor in Germany, Austria, Greece, Turkey and South Korea in theater and for cinema productions. At the Athens Festival Ismail Deniz took part in the production of “The Fettered Prometheus”. Furthermore, his professional career is characterized by engagements in international movie productions such as "Prisoners of War".

Ismail Deniz performed his first directorial work at the Landesbühne Dinslaken with "Waiting for life to begin". The production was invited to Turkey by the Goethe Institute .

At the Residenz Theater Munich Ismail Deniz can be seen in the production of "The 40 Days of Musa Dagh". In 2016, he took on the role of Siegfried at the Nibelungen Festival in Worms . Ismail Deniz plays in Kuffar at the Deutsches Theater Berlin. Nuran David Calis' God Deniers in the Clock performance on December 11, 2016.
