The Nergizlik Dam ( Turkish Nergizlik Barajı ) is a dam on the river Üçürge Deresi , a right tributary of Körkün Çayı in the province of Adana in southern Turkey .
The Nergizlik Dam is located 5 km north of the city of Karaisalı at the foot of the Taurus Mountains . It was built between 1986 and 1995 with the purpose of irrigation and flood protection . The barrier structure is a 50 m high earth embankment . The dam volume is 1.47 million m³. The reservoir covers an area of one square kilometer in normal traffic jams. The storage space is 21.8 million m³. The dam is designed for the irrigation of an area of 2326 ha.
