Net Impact
Net Impact is a large, international non-governmental organization based in San Francisco ( USA ), which pursues the goal of creating a socially fair and environmentally sustainable business world. Methods from economics are used. Over 25,000 members organize themselves worldwide on a voluntary basis in over 300 sub-groups, which they call "chapters". In addition to professional chapters in which working people come together, many universities have student chapters. The first chapter was founded in 1993 in the USA.
Net Impact in Germany
The first German chapter was founded in Berlin in 2010 , and since 2011 there has also been a student chapter at the Humboldt University in Berlin . After her lecture on the foundation of the student chapter, Gesine Schwan took over the patronage. Further chapters are currently being established.
