Petra Pinzler
Petra Pinzler (* 1965 in Landsberg am Lech ) is a German journalist and author .
Life
Pinzler studied economics and political science at the University of Cologne and attended the Cologne School of Journalism . In 1994 she started in the business department of the time . From 1998 to 2001 she was for the time correspondent in the United States and by 2007 European correspondent in Brussels . Since then she has been the capital correspondent in Berlin for politics and business.
With her book More and more is not enough , she explains why economic growth as a guiding principle of politics has no future. It presents the results of modern happiness research as well as the development of new indicators of prosperity and has set out to search for politicians around the world who are "already breaking new ground".
In September 2015 she published "The unfree trade. The secret rule of corporations and law firms" (Rowohlt), a - according to the Frankfurter Rundschau - "serious, critical and scientifically sound view of European trade policy". In the volume she analyzes the legal, democratic and economic concerns about planned free trade agreements such as TTIP, CETA and TISA.
