Neta Snook
Neta Snook Southern (born February 14, 1896 in Mount Carroll , Illinois as Mary Anita Snook , † March 23, 1991 in California ) was an American aviation pioneer.
Life
Neta Snook Southern was the first female pilot in Iowa . She was also the first female pilot to have her own flight school and the first woman to run a private airport.
Neta Snook became known as the woman who taught Amelia Earhart to fly.
